I started off using disposable pads but used to get leaks so was really keen to try reusables, especially after I learned about the environmental impact of disposable pads and tampons. I definitely prefer Bloom & Nora to disposables as they are more comfortable and I can change them less frequently. Being leak free is a big bonus! Changing them is not an issue. I sometimes use a Mooncup but always have a pad as a back up as they're so reliable.

I was a bit nervous about switching to reusable sanitary pads as I wasn't sure if they would work and allow me to go about my normal day. My period arrived on gym day but I plucked up the courage to test them out and I've not looked back. They are really comfortable and I'm confident all day long with no worry of leaks. They even stay put while I sweat it out in a gym class which is very impressive! I'm a reusable sanitary pad convert!

Heather reusable sanitary pads

I was initially a bit grossed out by the idea of reusable sanitary pads and was embarrassed at the idea of people possibly seeing them on the washing line, and I didn’t really want to put them in my washing machine, but I'm totally changed my thinking. Reusable sanitary pads are a no brainer! They have completely changed how I feel about my periods. I no longer dread it every month and my periods are now much shorter and lighter.

Emily reusable sanitary pad review

Emily

I love my road bike, it is a sporting love like no other, I am totally obsessed. I average around 24 miles a week and the idea of missing my weekend blast on my trusty steed because of my period is a no-no. My first cycle on the bike with Bloom & Nora (excuse the pun) was actually surprising. I was nearly 4 hours of wear in and leak free too. My choice is a mini Bloomer as the extra softness of the natural bamboo is great for a bike seat. Now I really can say I cycle in style!

Since starting my period at age 12 I have never been able to use tampons so have always been a pad user. When I started pole and aerial dancing, period week was always something to dread. I was delighted when I discovered Bloom and Nora reusable sanitary pads. I sent off for a trial pack and I was instantly hooked. They are so super soft and absorbent and the cloth next to my skin feels just like a pair of knickers. They are absolutely perfect! No sweating, no rustling and no sneaky wings popping out. Perfect!

reusable pads and yoga

I wasn't always convinced about reusable sanitary pads and much preferred a menstrual cup. I was worried that they would be visible in skin tight leggings so was tempted to skip my weekly yoga class. After a quick check, and happy that no pad was visible, I was confident to go and get into whatever pose they threw at me. Now I wouldn’t ever dream of skipping my class! My pad choice is a mini Nora it is slimline and stays dry, my perfect yoga companion for lighter period days or as a back up for my cup.
